1. What this policy covers
- Our public website, including any forms, chat boxes and cookie banner.
- The Drone Impact Evaluation tools (for example, the “Drone vs Van” calculator).
- Customer portal, API and mobile apps (B2B software-as-a-service).
- Connected drones, charging hubs and other devices we supply (hardware-as-a-service).
- Ongoing drone operations and any parcel data we handle for you.
2. The data we collect and why we need it

3. Our legal grounds (GDPR Art. 6)
- Contract – to deliver the services your company asks for.
- Legitimate interests – platform and device security, fraud prevention, feature improvement (balanced against your privacy).
- Consent – optional marketing e-mails and non-essential cookies.
- Legal obligation – tax, bookkeeping, export-control and aviation regulations.
5. Where we store and move data
Primary servers are in the UK and EU on Google Cloud Platform.
If data travels outside these regions (for example, to our US headquarters for support) we protect it with UK International Data Transfer Agreements, EU Standard Contractual Clauses or another recognised safeguard.
6. How long we keep data
- Account data – for the life of your contract plus 6 years for tax records.
- Drone telemetry – 2 years by default (you can ask for a different window).
- Parcel records – up to 7 years to meet customs and safety rules.
- Website & evaluation-tool logs – 12 months.
- Support tickets – 3 years after they close.
When time is up, we delete or anonymise the data unless the law says otherwise.
7. How we protect data
- Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256).
- Multi-factor log-ins and least-privilege staff access.
- 24 × 7 monitoring, incident-response plan and annual penetration tests.
- Independent SOC 2 audit every year.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (EU, UK, Switzerland, California, Singapore, etc.) you can:
- Get a copy of your data.
- Ask us to correct or erase it.
- Restrict or object to certain uses.
- Move it to another provider.
- Opt out of marketing at any time.

10. Extra notes for devices and parcels
- Drone firmware updates automatically to keep flights safe.
- Drone telemetry never includes video or personal voice recordings.
- You control data-retention settings for each fleet in the admin console.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we’ll post an in-app notice or e-mail admin users 30 days before the new terms take effect.
